It’s been less than a month since Elon Musk officially acquired Twitter, and I, for one, am already finding the site basically unusable. As if it weren’t enough that Musk has rolled back Twitter’s misinformation and content moderation policies, I’m also finding that the takes I’m seeing on Twitter are…how to say this?…garbage.
I don’t blame anyone for not posting to the best of their abilities while Twitter is in such dire straits, but what I will do is share my two top strategies for a genuinely pleasant Twitter experience. The first is one I like to call Check Jaz’s Faves™; when my timeline is full of hellfire-summoning negativity and I can’t bear it for one second longer, I revel in the tweets my best friend Jazmine has liked, which are always stupid puns, weird images of Soviet T-shirts, or dril tweets or something that brings me peace.
My other Twitter coping mechanism is easier to access: All it requires, really, is keeping a regular eye on the tweets of musical icon Dionne Warwick, who recently inserted herself into the who-is-Pete-Davidson-dating narrative in the funniest way possible:
