All lanes open following injury crash on WB 580 east of Richmond-San Rafael Bridge

(KRON) — All lanes have reopened following a traffic collision with injuries on the westbound lanes of Interstate 580 east of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Toll Plaza in Richmond, according to the California Highway Patrol. Earlier, the left lanes were blocked, and the CHP issued a severe traffic alert.

Drivers are being advised to expect residual delays.

Photos from a CalTrans camera in the area showed traffic backed up along the westbound lanes of I-580.
