The 2022 Met Gala is here and back on the first Monday of May. This year, celebrities were challenged with the theme, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” with an emphasis on gilded glamour. Tonight, stars are showing how they’re channeling the essence of the Gilded Age with black gowns, lengthy nails, and extravagant headpieces.
The vintage waves and slicked-back chignons may be nice, but headpieces are the star of the show at this year’s version of the fashion event — and rightfully so. Simple headwear like bedazzled tiaras and golden headbands made their appearance alongside elaborate fascinators and massive hats. It’s clear that head coverings are key to the gilded glamour theme, and here are some of our favorite ones.

La La Anthony arrived earlier in the night in a burgundy two-piece with a swirly manicure and a large red headpiece that captured our attention. On one side, there’s a large circular piece with red ovular pieces woven together. But, on the other side, the headpiece looks completely different — large and small candy apple-red roses shine, bringing this all-over red ensemble together.
