Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar was remembered by Amitabh Bachchan in a heartwarming video. It has been shared by Puneeth’s wife on her social media handles where the veteran actor was all praise for the late actor. Mr Bachchan spoke about the latter’s legacy, and his last film Gandhada Gudi that is running in theatres currently.
Talking about Puneeth, Amitabh Bachchan said that he can’t talk about Appu in the past tense. Big B also recalled the day when he met the Kannada actor when he was a kid. He said, “Every time, and everywhere you met, he had the most endearing smile on his face. That’s what I believe kept him so close to all of us and his legendary fan following.” While praising the film, Amitabh said, “Puneeth in the film reminds people about the need to enrich our association with nature and live in harmony with it. It is a movie for our children.” Directed by Amoghavarsha JS, the film is a documentary on the wildlife of Karnataka.
Puneeth’s wife Ashwini sharing the touching video of Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Thank You for your gracious words and overwhelming gesture. Amitabh Bachchan sir. We are humbled by your expression.”

The Kannada actor passed away in October last year after suffering a heart attack.
Talking about Mr Bachchan, he was last seen in Goodbye. He will be seen in Uunchai that is releasing on November 11 in theatres. Yesterday night, a special screening was held for the who’s who of Bollywood. The megastar also has Project K and The Intern remake in his kitty.
