“Being his mom is heaven on earth and also means a constant feeling of guilt and vulnerability I will never get used to,” the 40-year-old began in the caption of the post, which features a red heart emoji over Gene’s face to protect his privacy.

“Your heart feels like it’s outside your body and you’re too old to drink the feelings away like you used to,” she wrote. “When you were in love and scared. Send help!!! ❤️????????????????”

Previously, Amy spoke candidly about her pregnancy journey with IVF and the complications she faced that led to multiple hospitalizations. “We did IVF and it was really tough on me,” she explained. “I don’t think I could ever do IVF again, so I decided I can’t be pregnant ever again. We thought about a surrogate but I think we’re going to hold on for right now.”

And, last September, she revealed she got her uterus and appendix removed as a surgical procedure for treating endometriosis.

The Trainwreck star is known for getting extremely real about pretty much everything, and being a new mom is no exception. Last year, she joked about how she felt all of her motherly instincts were “dead wrong.” She said, “I call my friends from home for advice. But my instincts are all really bad. They’re really poor. But you have to live and learn.”

Amy’s post definitely resonated, as other celeb parents like Tan France and America Ferrera chimed in with their support. “Yep, that’s exactly how it is and feels. It’s beautiful and terrifying,” Tan wrote in the comments.

America offered a simple “Amen,” accompanied by a heart-eyes emoji.

Fellow comedian Ilana Glazer wrote, “Perfectly said and helpful to hear.” Meanwhile Debra Messing added, “There’s no cure.” Lucifer actor and mom Lesley-Ann Brandt commented, “The accuracy of this post.”
