Andy Scott-Lee is completely unrecognisable from his Pop Idol days and his marriage to Liberty X star Michelle Heaton.

Despite having a boyband career himself, Andy is still involved in the music industry and works as a songwriter and entrepreneur.

The 41 year old went on to re-marry in 2013 as he tied the knot with Big Brother star Lydia Louisa.

The pair started dating soon after he split up with Michelle in 2008 and seem to still be together to this day, despite Andy not tending to post photos together.

Andy seems to be a jetsetter now as he often posts photos from elsewhere in the world, including a once in a lifetime trip to Bali.

He is Steps singer Lisa Scott-Lee’s brother which could be why he found himself in the music industry in the first place.

But how did he end up where he is now?

Music career –

Andy’s music career began back in 2002 when he was part of 3SL along with his two brothers, where they achieved two UK top 20 singles with ‘Take It Easy’ and ‘Touch Me Tease Me’.

At the time they were signed to Sony but the group eventually broke up.

Following this, Andy went on to appear in the second series of Pop Idol where he made it to the final seven out of 100,000 entrants.

He then went on to be a featured artist on the Pop Idol album and single, which both entered the UK charts at number two as well as performing in the Pop Idol UK arena tour.

He moved into another boyband, G*Mania and then took a punt to represent the country in Eurovision.

In 2005 Andy took part in the qualifying rounds to represent the United Kingdom where he was up against Javine, Katie Price, Tricolore and Gina G.

He sang ‘Guardian Angel’ which was composed by Lee Ryan and Rob Persaud, and ended up coming third.

2008 saw Andy release a solo single, ‘Unforgettable’.

Rocky relationships –

Andy married his first wife, Michelle Heaton in 2006 but they then separated in 2008 following a series of issues.

It seemed everything was well and good when they were the focus on ITV reality show Michelle and Andy’s Big Day and a glossy magazine cover shoot but just 19 months later the marriage came to an end.

At the time Andy accused his wife of cheating on him with a string of men, including EastEnders star Matt Di Angelo.

He told the Sunday Mirror at the time: “She’s cheated on me, and once she started she just couldn’t stop.”

It was reported that Andy suspected Michelle of cheating when she left her Facebook page open and he saw a message from one man bragging about a ‘mint’ sex act.

Michelle said in court papers that the reason for divorce was her infidelity.

Andy accused Michelle of was cheating on a girls holiday to Marbella where she admitted she had kissed another man on the last night of the holiday but described it as a ‘stupid and drunken’ mistake.

However, she denied the Matt Di Angelo rumours.
