MANILA, Philippines—Ange Kouame and five more Blue Eagles have completed their college degrees from Ateneo de Manila University.

After making a name with the Blue Eagles, Kouame graduated on Friday with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

“Amazing journey. I’m just happy to be here. Much love to the community and the people that made it possible for me to be in these shoes,” wrote the big man in an Instagram post.

“It was a pleasure, blue and white. 34 is out!”

Kouame also joked around, saying that he had a “specialty in championships” during his stay in Loyola Heights. The naturalized Filipino ended his career in Ateneo with a championship, his third overall in the UAAP.

Joining Kouame in the list of Blue Eagles getting their diplomas were Geo Chiu, Jason Credo, Jacob Lao, Matthew Daves and JC Fetalvero.

Thankfully for coach Tab Baldwin, Chiu (AB IS) and Credo (AB Communication) will still play in Season 86 as Master Student-Athletes.

Like Chiu, Daves received his degree in AB IS while currently playing in the MPBL for Makati.

Lao received his degree in Restaurant Entrepreneurship while Fetalvero finished with Management Economics. Both former players are members of the PBA with Lao being the team manager for Converge and Fetalvero playing for Phoenix.

Baldwin expressed pride in seeing his boys don the blue togas, stating that meeting the new graduates was a “career treasure” for him.

“The relationships I have with these players are treasures of my career. I think they bring honor to our team and to the sport with the work that they do. They humble me with their dedication to this university,” Baldwin said.

“[I] wish them nothing but success for what lies ahead.”
