Predictable, reverential, and hierarchical – not anymore! Hotstar Specials’ Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo is a story that redefines everything you thought you knew about the saas – bahu relationship. The new age unconventional combo of saas-bahu 2.0 in this upcoming action-packed female centric drama announced by Disney+ Hotstar has left audiences quite stunned. Produced by Maddock Films, the series is directed by Homi Adajania with Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar and Isha Talwar in the lead. Angira Dhar, who plays the role of Dimple’s younger daughter-in-law opened up about her experience of working with Dimple in the show as she couldn’t stop gushing about Kapadia’s skills.
Angira Dhar reveals she was so ‘spellbound’ by Dimple Kapadia that she forgot her lines while shooting for Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo
The upcoming series Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo on Disney+ Hotstar has Angira Dhar working closely with Dimple Kapadia, and the two strong women will be seen doing some crazy action sequences along with Isha Talwar and Radhika Madan. Angira, who is completely in awe of Dimple’s work, spoke about her experience, saying, “She is an absolute pleasure to work with. She’s a cocktail of qualities – beauty, intellect paired with talented action abilities, you mix them all together and you get Dimple Kapadia. She is always eager to learn and absolutely selfless, and almost has a child-like energy which is so addictive to everyone around her! She’s unassuming, yet powerful! My first ever shot for the series was with Dimple ma’am and I was truly spellbound by her beauty and spontaneity so much so that I almost forgot my lines! Those eyes are to die for!”
Talking about the show, Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo features a mother-in-law who is unapologetically hardcore, and daughters-in-law who are steadfast and formidable – these women are nothing but badass, powerful, and even ruthless by choice.
The Saas-Bahu combo aim at shattering patriarchy and the unconventional show is produced by Maddock Films (Dinesh Vijan) whereas it is directed and created by filmmaker Homi Adajania. Along with these leading ladies, the show also stars Ashish Verma, Varun Mitra, Udit Arora, Deepak Dobriyal and Monica Dogra amongst others. Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo releases on May 5, 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar.
