With over 60,000 people inside, WTVA-TV reported video boards at the Ole Miss football stadium showed a message Sunday night saying the Wasted On You singer had lost his voice and was unable to perform, telling concertgoers they would receive a refund for the ticket price.

But Mandi Walker Nowlin — who was at the show with her husband — is unhappy with Wallen and is trying to get her money back for not only the costs of the tickets, but the entire excursion.

“Since you’re offering refunds … here is our itemized bill for you,” Nowlin posted to her Facebook, reported The Independent.

Nowlin’s expenses included the couple’s $560 hotel bill, her $120 outfit, her husband’s $218 outfit, $220 for drinks at the show, $220 for merchandise and more. The bill totaled $3,982.

Nowlin included her Cash App handle for Wallen to transfer the money and added, “I’ll expect my payment tomorrow. Thanks bro.”

“My husband has gone with me to two concerts. Ever,” Nowlin added. “In the 17 years we’ve been together. Somehow I talked him into this one and this s— happens.”

Another disgruntled fan sued Wallen for cancelling the show, accusing him of breach of contract and negligence. The action was withdrawn, but lawyers said they plan to refile it as a class-action lawsuit hoping to represent more unhappy concertgoers.

“The second lawsuit, like the first, will seek compensation on behalf of all those affected, not just one person,” law firm Langston & Lott explained in a since-deleted Facebook post, per WLBT. “Tens of thousands of people collectively spent millions to attend this event, and those affected are entitled to know the truth and to be made whole.”

“Even if ticket prices are refunded, no offer has been made to reimburse concertgoers for other out-of-pocket expenses they incurred in connection with the concert cancellation,” the original suit read [per Entertainment Weekly], “including transportation, lodging, food, merchandise sales, transaction fees, and other such expenses.”

On social media, Wallen’s sudden cancellation was met with annoyance.

“I’m not even that mad about not seeing Morgan Wallen [because] I’ve seen him before. What I’m most frustrated about is the fact that they knew this before the concert and let all 80k plus people buy liquor and merch before canceling so that everyone got their monies worth,” one fan tweeted.

As anger continued to swirl, a rep from Wallen’s label was forced to deny viral claims from a security guard at the venue that the singer was too drunk to perform.

After the guard’s employer denied the accusation, Big Loud Records CEO and co-founder Seth England took to Instagram to further shut down claims that Wallen was drunk.

“Thank you @bestcrowdmanagement for correcting your employee, who made up an entire story that was nowhere close to true,” England wrote. “Every detail was false.”

England added, “Laughable what some people will just say for a reaction.”

Wallen is one of country music’s biggest stars, but the 29-year-old has courted controversy in his short career. In 2021, he was filmed outside his home in Nashville using a racial slur. He apologized at the time and urged fans not to defend him, but his music was yanked by many radio stations and streaming services. Wallen was also banned from various awards shows.

In 2022, he returned in a big way winning Album of the Year for at the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards.

Later this summer, Wallen hits the road across Canada as part of his One Night At a Time Tour, which includes three sold-out nights at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage.
