It’s fair to say it’s been a pretty hectic night over at the Brit Awards 2022. So far, we’ve had Adele engagement rumours, a surprise performance from Emma Corrin, and several incredible live performances.
One of those live acts came from pop royalty, Anne-Marie, who took to the stage to perform her single ‘Don’t Play’ with KSI and Digital Farm Animals. However, she got off to a shaky start after losing her footing as she walked down the steps to the stage.
For anyone else, this could’ve been a game-changer. But in true Anne-Marie-style, the singer didn’t drop a note and continued to deliver an incredible performance – complete with the most high-energy dance routine we’ve ever seen.
After the performance, Anne-Marie simply tweeted, “Didn’t need my left ankle anyway,” which earned her a lot of support from her fans. One replied with a clip of the moment, showing her slick recovery with the caption, “YOU ARE SO POWERFUL,” while another fan added, “you styled it out well bestie.”

Some fans also drew comparisons with Madonna’s infamous fall during her performance at The Brits in 2015. One viewer tweeted, “At least it wasn’t quite as bad as Madonna’s cape,” while another wrote, “OH NO!!! Anne-Marie had her Madonna moment. But styled it out,” and another added, “Are the brits stairs cursed bc I’m getting Madonna flashbacks during Anne Marie’s performance.”

However the overwhelming response was one of support, with one fan tweeting, “oh god that must have thrown anne marie off so much her vocals are still killing it!!!,” and another adding, “Anne- Marie handled that like a boss.”
