Bronny James finally ended his recruitment on Saturday night, committing to USC.
A five-star recruit, James upped his NBA draft stock as his high school career progressed, according to ESPN NBA Draft expert Jonathan Givony.
In fact, Givony says, the 6-foot-3 combo guard has “solidified himself” as a player with a “clear” NBA future.
“While still inconsistent with his production and not possessing elite physical tools to be considered a top-shelf prospect, Bronny James has grown on NBA scouts with his defense, perimeter shooting, feel for the game and the way he contributes to winning by doing the little things on both ends of the floor,” Givony wrote. “To many NBA scouts, James has solidified himself as a clear NBA player down the road.”

The No. 21 overall player in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, James joins five-star point guard Isaiah Collier, the No. 1 prospect in the country, and four-star center Arrinten Page in USC’s incoming freshman class.
“I’m super proud of him,” LeBron said of his son on Saturday night. “Our family is proud of him. For me personally, it’s even more special to me because it’s the first time someone out of my family will go to college.”
If he keeps progressing the way he has been, Bronny will join his dad in the NBA after his stint at the collegiate level.
