WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT IT?
Perth’s craft beer scene is booming with Red IPAs and Brewcha Libre Brewing Co’s take on the style is a perfect winter warmer.
The gypsy brewer, headed by Ryan Walker, just released their Red Kicks Red IPA fresh from it claiming a silver medal at the Perth Royal Beer Awards earlier this month.
Walker pumped Red Kicks with a blend of six different malts and Victoria, Amarillo, Centennial and Idaho 7 hops to deliver a delightful array of flavours.
Pouring a reddish brown with a lingering head, Red Kicks is bursting with citrus and spice aromas.
Chewy caramel malts, candied orange, pine and a hint of spice hit the palate at first sip.
The 6.5 per cent ABV is apparent but not overpowering and it finishes with a solid level of bitterness.
If you’re an IPA lover, there isn’t much more you could want. Add Red Kicks to the list of top-shelf Red IPAs to hit the shelves of craft beer bottleshops this winter.
SHOULD I SHARE IT?

WHAT’S THE DAMAGE?
About $10 for a single can and $32 for a four-pack.
