Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have given us a sneak peak into the final ever Saturday Night Takeaway, before they head on a breather.

The I’m A Celebrity presenters have helmed the ITV variety show since June 2002, but announced earlier this year the upcoming series would be their ‘last one for a little while’.

‘The show takes up such a lot of our year we just feel we need a little bit of a breather and that the show is going to take a little bit of a rest,’ they’d said.

But before taking their well-earned break, the Geordie duo have given us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of season 20.

Sharing a picture of the ITV crew with a whiteboard in the background and a poster for the beloved show displayed from a screen, they wrote: ‘Series 20 is officially in the making.’

Fans were over the moon at the update, with one writing: ‘Wahoooo I can’t wait I’m so excited for it! Xxx.’

Another penned: ‘I can’t wait!!! Although sad it’s the last one for a while.’

Others put in requests for guests, with one suggesting Take That being pranked.

In a statement in May, Dec, 47, explained they had decided the 20th series, due to air next year, will be their ‘last one for a little while.’

Ant, 46, added: ‘We love making Saturday Night Takeaway, but reaching the milestone of 20 series seemed like the perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath.’

The series previously took a pause in 2009, returning four years later in 2013.

The most reacent season of the juggernaut show drew to a close in April and saw a load of lucky prize winners jet out to Florida to cause its signature mayhem at theme park Universal Orlando Resort.
