Ant Anstead vowed he isn’t planning to propose to girlfriend Renee Zellweger, so we can put the bunting away.
The couple made their romance official last year, following the Celebrity IOU: Joyride host’s divorce from ex-wife Christina Haack.
They have mostly kept their relationship under wraps ever since, but have blessed fans with loved-up snaps on social media,
However, discussing their budding bond, the 42-year-old insisted that he has no plans to take his relationship with the Bridget Jones actress, 52, to the next level.
Speaking to Us Weekly, he explained that he will not be getting down on one knee any time soon.
‘Oh, absolutely not’ he said when questioned on whether they were taking the next step.
‘I mean … what’s the rush?’
Ant, who shares son Hudson with Christina and two children from his first marriage, also told the publication that he hasn’t considered adding to his brood in the future.
The lovebirds made their first public appearance as a couple in August of last year after months of speculation, sending us all into a spin.
‘Sometimes two people just meet and click, and the timing is right,’ an insider said of their romance at the time.
‘Renee is creative… and often goes for guys who think out of the box.
‘She’s smart, thoughtful and always looking to expand horizons and nurture those around her.’
Ant couldn’t help but rave about the Judy actress during a recent interview on Entertainment Tonight, sharing how ‘kind’ she is.
‘People that resonate with kindness… I’m a big believer in those small moments that actually speak the most,’ he said.
‘When you actually look back at relationships you have with your family, your friends, it’s those small moments, those sort of hidden messages, that actually speak the most.’
