Ant Anstead drags Renee Zellweger into custody fight with Christina Hall COVID claims

Renee Zellweger probably didn’t sign up for this when she began dating TV personality and divorced father of three, Ant Anstead, but she’s now being dragged into the bitter custody dispute raging between Anstead and his ex-wife, Christina Hall.

Anstead is seeking full custody of his 2-year-old son, Hudson, alleging in a court filing Thursday that Zellweger was forced to stop production on her latest project because of a COVID-10 exposure from Hall, who had not disclosed that she and all three of her children had contracted COVID, TMZ reported.

“At the time my partner (who we know is Renée Zellweger) was filming her new project and her COVID diagnosis placed the whole production on pause,” Anstead said.

The “Wheeler Dealers” star alleges that his ex-wife — formerly known as Christina Haack — was deficient in other ways. He said the HGTV star, who previously starred on “Flip of Flop” with her other ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, was an absentee mother, only spending a few days a month with their son. Anstead also said she had risked Hudson’s medical safety by allowing him to get a painful sunburn, and is using his images for social media clout while he is in her care.

On Thursday, a judge denied Antstead’s emergency request for temporary full custody because Anstead, 43, didn’t give Hall, 38, adequate notice and failed to prove that Hudson was in danger, the Daily Mail reported. A new hearing date has been set for June 28.

In a court filing of her own, Hall denied the claims made by her ex-husband.

“I will not speculate as to his true motivations, but Hudson’s best interest is not what is motivating his application to the court,” Hall, who currently stars on the show “Christina on the Coast,” shared in her declaration. She argued that Anstead did not seek mediation to address changes in custody.

‘I offered private mediation and private judging to resolve and address his issues, and he declined,” Hall said. “Clearly, he wants to tarnish my good name with his false allegations.”

Anstead and Hall were married in 2018, and welcomed Hudson in September 2019. One year later, the pair announced that they were ending their marriage.

Hall was previously married to El Moussa, her partner in an Orange County real estate firm that inspired the popular “Flip or Flop” series. Their daughter, Taylor, was born in 2010 and their son, Brayden, was born in 2015. They divorced in 2017. Earlier this month it was learned that Hall had married for the third time, to realtor Joshua Hall.

Anstead, who stars on British TV shows based on his skills as a motorist and car builder, has two children, Amelie, 18, and Archie, 15, with his first wife.

Nine months after Anstead ended his marriage to Hall, he began dating Zellweger, and the California-based Anstead was separated from his two older, U.K.-based children for two years because of COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Before the holidays, Anstead revealed that he had been reunited with all three of his children by sharing a family photo of him with Hudson and his two older kids, saying, “My heart is FULL. Happy Christmas x x.”

While accusing Hall of using images of Hudson in paid social media posts, it appears that Anstead isn’t shy himself about posting photos of his kids to support his brand. Last week, he posted a video of himself with Hudson, building a Lego model car. He tagged the post @lego and appeared to do much of the assembly himself, while writing: “Hudzo is obsessed with building!”
