Anthony Martial has agreed a deal in principle to leave Manchester United and join Sevilla in the upcoming January transfer window, according to reports. The Frenchman, who has also been heavily linked with Juventus in recent weeks, has endured a torrid time of things at Old Trafford this season and is said to be keen on calling it quits at the turn of the year.
The summer arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo saw Martial tumble down the pecking order at United after featuring heavily when fit over the course of last season.
The 26-year-old has registered 10 appearances in all competitions since the beginning of the current campaign, scoring just once in the Premier League against Everton back in October.
He is said to be frustrated over his lack of action at United, with his agent claiming earlier this month that he wants to leave in search of a fresh challenge elsewhere.
A number of sides have since been credited with a desire to land Martial, including the likes of Juventus and Barcelona.
However, it seems as though Sevilla have already moved quickly to secure his signature ahead of the January window.

Martial has reached an agreement in principle to join the La Liga heavyweights next month, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The report claims that Juventus will be forced to look elsewhere in their search for a new striker, with Martial no longer an option.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are not expected to rival Sevilla for the United marksman after negotiating a successful move for Manchester City forward Ferran Torres.
It remains to be seen whether Martial has agreed to leave United on a half-season loan or on a permanent basis, with his contract set to run until the summer of 2024.
He is yet to feature for the Red Devils under new interim boss Ralf Rangnick as he continues to step up his recovery from an injury.

The German coach appears to be a keen admirer of young United striker Anthony Elanga, who has reportedly been earmarked as a potential replacement for Martial in the event of a January exit.
Rangnick was recently quizzed on Martial’s apparent desire to leave but insisted that he was yet to hear anything from the player himself.
“I don’t communicate with agents via the media and press, the player hasn’t spoken with me or us about it.” he told reporters.
“After the final training session before the Crystal Palace game, after having trained with the team, he informed the doctor and the medical department that he would not be available because the pain in his knee is too big.
“We have to wait and see. Maybe he can train again [on Sunday] but I have to speak to the doctor first.

“To be honest, what his agent says via the media is not of that much interest to me.”
Meanwhile, former United forward Louis Saha has declared that Martial still has plenty to offer at United if he can find some much-needed consistency at Old Trafford.
“Martial, when he’s on top form, he is unplayable,” Saha told the Metro.
“Put them all in the right position and conditions and they’ll fly, but it comes back to humility and mindset.
“I’m sure they’re confident guys, but they need to have the mindset of doing the things they don’t like to work hard for the team.”
