“At the moment, the manager will just be focused on working with this group and getting the best out of the players he has.”
King believes Conte will want to improve his midfield on priority, particularly in the attacking role in which Dele Alli is currently struggling to convince.
“We say we can always do with another striker, but it is very difficult to bring in a top striker that isn’t going to play,” King explained.
“Maybe in the midfield, I think that is an area where the manager obviously played, and that will be a very important area of the pitch to him. Maybe looking at an offensive player, a kind of number 10.
“The squad is there. We do have the players; they just need to play to their full potential.
