Antony has made a fantastic start to life in the Premier League for Manchester United.
The Brazilian international has scored two goals, including a stunning strike with his left against Manchester City.
That thunderbolt, though, had no impact on the result as Erik ten Hag’s side were obliterated 6-3 by their neighbours. But it was still a good goal.
And he can set a new Manchester United Premier League record when his club make that short trip to Merseyside to face Everton on Sunday night.
No player has ever scored in their first three appearances for the Red Devils in the top-flight.
Antony has already had a good start, but that would make it an unprecedented one.
And though it is early days, he could be a mainstay on that right wing for many years.
But Everton are much improved from last year, and a game under the lights will be a serious test for Antony and the Red Devils.
Manchester United players who have scored two in their first two PL games
Louis Saha – 2004/05 season
Federico Macheda – 2008/09 season
Anthony Martial – 2015/16 season
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 2016/17 season
Romelu Lukaku – 2017/18 season
But one of Antony’s teammates will be out to prove the Toffees aren’t his bogey team.
Marcus Rashford has played 11 times against Everton and failed to score a single goal.
Against no team has the England international played against more and failed to score.
Rashford started the 6-3 thrashing by Man City but didn’t register a single shot.
And in his 58 minutes on the pitch, he managed 12 touches of the ball, less than defender Aymeric Laporte, who came on with 15 minutes to go.
The 24-year-old has actually started the season well with three league goals, but given Anthony Martial’s display off the bench, he could do with one against Frank Lampard’s men.
However, Rashford came on as a substitute against Omonia Nicosia and scored twice.
He also set Martial up with a delightful flick, so perhaps we will see both start on Sunday, with Rashford on the left and the Frenchman as the lone striker.
But Martial has a much better record against Everton than his teammate.
The Frenchman has scored five times in 11 clashes against the Toffees – he hasn’t scored more versus any other top-flight side.
So you wouldn’t be surprised to see Martial on the scoresheet now that he is fully fit.
But this will be a tough test for Man United as Everton have managed to turn Goodison into a hostile environment once more, so will Antony, Rashford and Martial stand up to be counted?
We will find out this weekend.
