Apple iPhones update: A day after Apple launched its iPhone 14 series, the tech giant discontinued its older versions of iPhones including iPhone 11, 12 Mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max. Even though Apple has officially stopped selling the aforementioned older iPhone models but they will still be available for purchase from retailers around the world while stocks last, according to GizmoChina, news agency IANS reported.
The iPhone 13 Pro series brought some major upgrades including features like a 120Hz LTPO display, an improved triple camera system, much better battery life, and more. Further, the firm discontinued the iPhone 11 from 2019. It was the first base iPhone with a dual-camera setup, 4GB RAM, 18W wired charging support, and more.
The tech giant has also discontinued the iPhone 12 Mini from 2020, which was the first Mini iPhone, and the most affordable iPhone with an OLED display at the launch.
Meanwhile, at its ‘Far Out Event’ this week on Wednesday, Apple has unveiled the iPhone 14 series, which were accompanied by AirPods Pro 2nd Gen, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra. Unsurprisingly, the American tech giant also announced the discontinuation of select older iPhones.

- For several years, Apple’s new iPhones have mostly featured incremental upgrades to cameras and battery life, and this year’s models were no exception.
- Pricing for the standard iPhone 14 will start at $799; the deluxe iPhone 14 Pro Max will start at $1099.
- Among the latest improvements is a 48-megapixel camera in the Pro and Pro Max models that the company said will produce especially crisp pictures.
- The iPhone 13 versions of the Pro and Pro Max have 12-megapixel cameras.
- This year’s high-end models will also have always-on displays that stay lit even when the device is locked, a feature that has long been available on many smartphones powered by Google’s Android software.
