Are These Bella Hadid’s Natural Curls?

Whether you’re casually scrolling on Instagram or flipping the glossy pages of a magazine, supermodel Bella Hadid is likely there in a striking photo. After all, it’s her job. Admittedly, just as easily as we can list our favorite hair products, there’s an array of hairstyles we’ve seen on the famous model’s head that we can reference for major hair inspiration. We’re always partial to her signature: a sleek, tight bun that highlights those killer cheekbones. We’re also a huge fan of her middle part moments, layered in their styling. Can we now add natural curls to the list?

She’s obviously looking trendy in one of her usual photo dumps earlier this week, but still weather-conscious in a leather jacket and colorful scarf. We’d even say Hadid purposely styled herself inconspicuously to conceal her face from the cold — and the paparazzi. But still, the layers of her lengthy curls still manage to peek through. Of course, we wondered if extensions were sought out to achieve this new look. Or have we just underestimated the range and length of Hadid’s hair all this time? There’s a shade difference that’s highlighted in a noticeable yet still subtle ombre here, too. And though it starts off straight, her hair sprawls into a shoulder-length wave of spirals over her leather-clad shoulder. 

If you’re like Bella Hadid and have longer hair to play with, we’d definitely recommend a using a curling wand to achieve a similar look. But you prefer a no-heat alternative that’s still low maintenance, try using flexi rods or the TikTok trend sock-curling!
