Ariana DeBose is focusing on “some moments [she] loved” from Sunday’s BAFTA Awards, and that seems to include her viral rap.

The “West Side Story” star, 32, took to Instagram Monday to share a nine-slide carousel featuring behind-the-scenes photos from the event, including a shot of her singing into the mic.

“@bafta ???? Some moments I loved with ppl I love,” the actress captioned pictures with Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kathryn Gallagher, Eddie Redmayne, Regé-Jean Page, Paapa Essiedu and HoYeon Jung — many of the A-list stars she name-dropped in her polarizing mashup of Eurythmics’ “Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves” and Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family.”

At one point during the performance, the Oscar winner rapped, “Angela Bassett did the thing. Viola Davis, my ‘Woman King.’ Blanchett Cate, you’re a genius. Jamie Lee, you are all of us.”

The “simultaneously awful and amazing” jingle garnered instant attention on social media, with one Twitter user joking, “Ariana DeBose has reportedly turned down a performance at King Charles III’s coronation.”

But many criticized DeBose for reducing acclaimed Bassett, 64, to someone who simply “did the thing,” as one dissenter tweeted, “This whole performance hurts more when you remember that Ariana Debose has more Oscars than Angela Bassett.”

Amid the strong reactions, DeBose deactivated her Twitter account and posted an uplifting quote to her Instagram Story that read, “Babygirl [sic], in a world full of choices, choose yourself.”

BAFTAs showrunner Nick Bullen had her back, too, telling Variety that attendees enjoyed the “very familiar songs” while “clapping” and “dancing to the music.”

“That rap section in the middle, mentioning the women in the room, was because it’s been a great year for women in film,” he said, “and we wanted to celebrate that.”
