London-based streetwear powerhouse Aries has reunited with Umbro for a new collection. Marking their second partnership, the striking range draws on the rough-and-ready sport of rugby for an entirely British affair.
Helmed by Sofia Prantera, Aries’ latest collaborative endeavour looks at the mud-stained and violent nostalgia associated with rugby through an imaginative sporting lens. Arriving in the same style as the duo’s previous football capsule, the offering spans everything from classic rugby shirts and new cotton drill track pants to matching cotton drill shorts, deep navy rugby socks, and a custom co-branded mouth guard.
Enlisting the help of award-winning photographer Elaine Constantine for the visuals, the campaign imagery sees the duo hit the field while incorporating conventional rugby elements along with a range of Aries’ signature finishing techniques— ultimately fusing together the distinct qualities of both brands.
