The Gunners are now ‘considering’ the idea of selling defender Gabriel Maghaeles in the summer, in what would come as a shock considering the Brazilian has been one of the standout performers this season, while wonderkid Miguel Azeez has suggested that he wanrs to follow William Saliba’s recent loan spell away from the club.
Here are Mirror Football’s latest Arsenal headlines.
Gunners consider shock Gabriel exit
Arsenal are coming around to the idea of selling Gabriel Magalhaes in the summer transfer window in what would be a real shock decision, following the Brazilian’s impressive campaign during the current season.
The Brazilian has been a mainstay at the back for Mikel Arteta this season, partnering Ben White in defence after the Englishman was signed from Brighton last year for £50million. The year before was when Gabriel arrived after being pinpointed by the Gunners manager as an ideal target following a fine campaign at Lille.
Arteta likes to have a left-footed defender in his backline to cope with his style of football, playing out from the back, while Gabriel can also pick a pass. But it has been a tough campaign for the north London side in the Premier League.

Arsenal wonderkid imitating Saliba transfer warning
William Saliba has flourished from having another full season of competitive football under his belt, and the Frenchman’s choices appear to have caught the eye of Arsenal ’s youngster Miguel Azeez.
Saliba’s time out on loan at Marseille, where he was awarded the Ligue 1 Player of the Season, has certainly solidified his claims as to why he should be an Arsenal regular, unwilling to sit on the bench at the Emirates Stadium hoping that an opportunity for him to impress would arise. And that attitude appears to have rubbed off on exciting prospect Azeez.
The 19-year-old has revealed that he wants to spend a season out on loan next season. The midfielder told The Athletic : “I want to play the whole season in senior football. Wherever that is, that’s the main goal.”

Laura Woods responds to dig and ‘bias’ claims
Laura Woods destroyed a Tottenham fan with a brutal put down after they claimed she was biased towards Arsenal amid an intense race for the Champions League places, with the Gunners all but set to miss out on a top four finish this season.
A caller to talkSPORT, Nick, claimed that Arsenal’s failure to earn a place in the top four was the ‘biggest collapse of all time’ and that she was biased towards the north London side, was she was left even more aghast as he suggested that Arsenal had a ‘small club’ mentality in not believing that they would be in a position to challenge for the Champions League places at the start of the campaign.
Woods responded with: “I think Nick, coming from a Spurs fan, you’d know exactly what a small club mentality is all about. Arsenal are trying to get back somewhere, and I think finishing fifth, even if that happens, again, you’re not going to get me to say we’ve collapsed.”
