The Gunners have reportedly completed the signing of Jesus having agreed personal terms with the forward, having also agreed a £45million fee with Manchester City last week.
They will now quickly turn to his countryman Raphinha, with Mikel Arteta desperate to add him to his attacking options ahead of the new season.
Leeds value the winger at £65million but Raphinha’s representatives believes a bid of around £50million will convince Leeds to cash in.
Goal Brasil report further talks with Arsenal will take place this week with Tottenham and Chelsea still to open negotiations.
Arsenal submitted a formal offer for Raphinha earlier this month but that bid was ‘rejected out of hand’ by Leeds as it fell well short of their valuation.
Barcelona is thought the be the 26-year-old’s preferred destination but the Catalan giants are likely to struggle to meet Leeds’ valuation.
If he is to remain in the Premier League, Raphinha is thought to prefer a move to Chelsea.
Arsenal have already demonstrated their ambition in the transfer market with their deal to bring Jesus to the Emirates, having also signed attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira from Porto for £34m.
The club are also in pursuit of Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.
Raphinha was Leeds’ star performer last season as his 11 goals played a key part in the club being able to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The winger would have been available for £30m this summer if Leeds dropped down to the Championship.
