Why Arsenal need to make a change against Bournemouth?
Arsenal will be up against a relegation-threatened side in Bournemouth. The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table with 60 points, five ahead of their immediate rivals Manchester City.
Mikel Arteta has found a tweak in the lineup which has earned results for the Gunners in the last few league games. Arsenal’s minor blip of a four-game winless run ended with a win over Aston Villa. And since then, they have registered three consecutive league victories. But against Bournemouth, Mikel Arteta perhaps should make a change to his starting lineup.
Thomas Partey: Thomas Partey has to come back to the Arsenal starting lineup on Saturday. Partey was out injured and Jorginho filled in the role pretty well, but the Ghanaian showed his influence in the second half in Arsenal’s 4-0 home win against Everton.
Partey played only 45 minutes against the Toffees but created numerous chances for the Gunners. He made an exquisite lobbed pass to Eddie Nketiah and that deserved a goal, but Nketiah continued his wasteful record in front of the goal and failed to convert it.
Partey is far superior with the ball and has the ability to pick passes and glide through the opponent midfielders, which will be pivotal for the Gunners against a Bournemouth side, who will definitely be ultra-defensive in their approach.
