Asda continued, telling customers that if they have purchased it, “do not eat the product”.
Customers should instead bring it back to their nearest store where they will receive a full refund, no receipt needed.
Asda apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers and urged them to contact Asda Customer Relations – 0800 952 0101 – for further information.
The FSA echoed the advice to customers: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to walnuts and/or hazelnuts (nuts), do not eat it.
“Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.”
