Australia were bowled out for 416 runs in their first innings. It was a fantastic century yet again from Steve Smith which helped the Aussies to land a decent total. But England have done reasonably well in their batting.
Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley gave them a blistering start with the bat. The pair added 91 runs for 1st wicket, and Duckett then continued his merry way to inflict further damage.
Duckett eventually was dismissed for 98, but a Nathan Lyon injury dented Australia’s chances big time. At the end of Day 2, England are 278 for 4 with Harry Brook and captain Ben Stokes at the crease.
With the game hanging in the balance, we are hoping for another day’s of enthralling play on Friday. But how is the weather forecast saying ahead of Day 3 of the 2nd Test? Let’s have a look-
The eve of a weekend seems to be a sunny one in the capital city of England. Friday’s weather prediction looks good for the game of cricket. The temperature will be around 19 degree Celsius during the day and will dip around two degrees after sunset.
There is no rain expected for the entire day on Friday in London, which kind of ensures a full day’s play without any rain interruption. The wind is set to be a moderate one but can touch beyond 20 km/h speed at the latter stage of the day.
