Chasing 371 to level the series, the hosts head into the final day of the match at 114/4 with Duckett (50*) and Stokes (29*) having their task cut out as Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc removed England’s top four inside 13 overs.

Cameron Green should have got Duckett’s wicket, but the England opener got a reprieve after a controversial decision to rule Starc’s catch as unfair, leading to a lot of debate heading into the decisive fifth day.
Earlier in the day, Australia added 149 runs to their overnight score of 130 for 2 to increase their lead to 370. Stuart Broad claimed two wickets to keep England’s chances alive in the Test.
Earlier in the series, England had suffered a 2-wicket defeat to Pat Cummins’ World Test Champions Australia in the series opening thriller at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham earlier this month.
