Ashley Olsen tends to guard the privacy of her personal life even more closely than her sister Mary-Kate, so how else would she wed her longtime partner than in a teeny-tiny secret ceremony attended by no more than 50-ish guests? Page Six has reported that the fashion tycoon’s intimate, and presumably impossibly chic, wedding to artist Louis Eisner took place in a private home in the Bel-Air section of Los Angeles on December 28. Said an anonymous source, “It went late with 50 people or so total.”
Though Olsen and Eisner, who is an artist and the son of jewellery designer Lisa Eisner, have been dating since 2017, details about their relationship are minimal at best. They’ve been photographed together only a handful of times, and Olsen’s one appearance on Eisner’s social media really raised more questions than it answered. The now iconic photos posted to the artist’s IG Stories show the fashion designer hiking in the woods with a rocks glass filled with some kind of beverage (whiskey? beer? apple juice?) in one hand and a machete in the other.
More recently, and less confusingly, the couple were also photographed getting cuddly over the summer. Per E! News, they were spotted in June at The Grill restaurant in New York City to celebrate Olsen’s 36th birthday. In August the newlyweds were seen vacationing in Italy, where, to all appearances, they had a lovely time.
In a rare joint interview, Mary-Kate Olsen told i-D in June 2021 that she and Ashley Olsen were “raised to be discreet people,” which seems to explain why there’s so little information about their personal lives—and why we’re probably not going to be getting any photos from Ashley and Louis’s big day any time soon.
