This week, the Guggenheim Museum welcomed guests to the Upper East Side to celebrate and recognize the efforts of the Young Collectors Council. The evening began with an intimate dinner for artists, patrons, and supporters of the YCC held in The Wright room, which is tucked away on the museum’s first floor. The YCC, which stands as the Guggenheim’s second longest-standing council, champions emerging talent and offers young artists an opportunity for support and visibility. It continues to serve as a space to amplify new voices and cultivate the next generation of talent in fine arts.
Before the major fete that would take over the museum began, YCC co-chairs, host committee members, and the museum’s past and present artists were recognized in a toast. This year, the council celebrated its partnership with LG, and the inaugural LG Guggenheim Award was awarded to artist Stephanie Dinkins.
The lit-up room was made complete by a digital display by artist and musician Farah Al Qasimi. As each spiraling level was filled with music, worlds collided, bridging the art world and technology for a one-night-only experience.
