LeBron James has spent two decades in the NBA, but he hasn’t lost his jovial love of the game.
Appearing on Showtime’s All The Smoke podcast, Austin Reaves discussed his Los Angeles Lakers teammate’s youthful energy despite being the team’s elder statesman.
“He acts like a damn kid,” Reaves said. “He acts like he’s 18. I never really see him in a bad mood. Always joking, laughing, having a good time.”
20 years in, @KingJames still keeps that youthful energy.

Reaves called LeBron “personable” and said he feels he can talk to him about anything.
“The best thing about him is he comes to work every day happy,” he added.
Perhaps that mindset helps explain how LeBron continues to excel on the court. The four-time MVP averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game last season before leading Los Angeles to the Western Conference Finals.
After opening the door to retirement speculation, James confirmed at the ESPY Awards that he’s returning for his 20th season. He’ll turn 39 at the end of the year, but that apparently hasn’t deterred him from staying energetic and connecting with his younger teammates like Reaves.
