Austin Reaves has become a household name over the last few months.
The undrafted guard took advantage of his increased role in the Lakers’ rotation after a series of deadline-day trades, helping the team reach the Western Conference play-in and eventually the playoffs.
With the Lakers now out of the playoffs, Reaves is a restricted free agent. Given his play in the most important games of the season for the Lakers, he is sure to draw interest from several teams around the league.
Despite that interest, Reaves says he’d like to stay exactly where he is.
"I want to be here," Austin Reaves said. "It feels like home."

Reaves has become one of the most popular players on the league’s most popular team, so it makes sense that he would want to stay. He flourished in his role as the team’s third – and sometimes second – option offensively, especially when it came to three-point shooting.
Outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Reaves was the most consistent and reliable player on the Lakers’ roster.
With Reaves in line for a big pay day, the Lakers will have to decide if they’re ready to match whatever offers he is presented with from other teams.
Given how well he played this season, it’s likely that they’ll do what they can to keep him on the roster.
