Australia finished the 2021-23 WTC cycle on top of the table, their only loss being the 2-1 away defeat to India earlier this year. They haven’t beaten the Men in Blue, both home and away, in eight years – four successive series defeats.

Also in 19 matches, Australia lost just three matches, including the two defeats to India in India earlier this year, and one away to Sri Lanka in 2022. Two of the defeats were also by an innings and runs margin.
The Aussies, however, registered 11 wins and drew 5 matches in the WTC 2021-23 cycle. The Baggy Greens had several top performers in their run to the WTC Final 2023. Australia opened the campaign with a 4-0 win over their Ashes rivals England.
