LML to open showrooms: Indian scooter and motorcycle manufacturer LML on Tuesday announced that it is planning to roll out a network of 100 dealers in Pan India in the next 2 years. The company said that it aims to expand its dealership network in a phase-wise manner.
“With the aim of establishing a nationwide network of 100 dealerships by FY 2024-25, the company plans a DODO model of retail expansion in the country,” the company said in a release.
What is DODO model?
DODO stands for Dealer Owned Dealer Operated model. In this model, dealers are allowed to perform as both the owner and the operator of the service station.
The two-wheeler manufacturing company, according to the release, plans a standardized outlet for its upcoming dealership that focuses on a tech-enabled customer relationship management and sales management framework in order to strengthen its customer value and trust.

“The e-mobility revolution has received unprecedented support from the Indian government, and we at LML are driven to accelerate the adoption of EVs (electric vehicles) across different parts of the country with the most trustworthy household name LML,” MD & CEO of LML Yogesh Bhatia said.
He added, “Our team is extensively working to onboard the right dealers who hold a futuristic vision of taking EVs mainstream in India.”
As a part of its phase one expansion plan, the company targets opening 100 dealerships across major cities in India. The minimum ticket size of investment required by the prospective dealers is Rs 1 crore, said the company.
