Ava Max is the latest pop star to be assaulted on stage

We are seriously concerned about security at concerts. Just days after a “fan” threw his phone at Bebe Rexha and blackened her eye, Ava Max was slapped by a concert goer. Completely unacceptable.

As the video on TMZ shows, at an LA concert on Tuesday (20 June), Max was performing her choreography when a man who had rushed the stage and was being dragged off reached out for her, his hand colliding with her face.

As the singer later put it on Twitter, “He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye. He’s never coming to a show again.” To her credit, she continued performing through the incident, though she was clearly in pain, and thanked the non-scary audience members for their energy, writing, “Thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!”

Per TMZ, Ava Max’s attacker was not arrested and claimed he didn’t mean to harm the star, only “hold” her, which is some creepy stalker bulls**t and not great either.

You’re not ever entitled to a stranger’s body, even if she’s famous! Per unverified screenshots, the man involved has an unhealthy obsession with Max and admitted he was trying to give her his number.
