Keeping everyone on their toes. The Kardashian-Jenner family had a very memorable 2022 — which was filled with babies, breakups and more explosive moments.
The year started out with a bang when Kanye West called out Kim Kardashian for allowing their eldest child to make her own TikTok account. (The former couple share North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.)
“SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL ?” West wrote via Instagram in February.
In response, the reality star called out the Yeezy designer for his “constant attacks” in a rare public statement amid their divorce.
“As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness,” she explained in her own Instagram post at the time. “Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”
She continued: “I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably.”
That same month, the California native reflected on the challenges of trying to take care of her children after her messy split from the Grammy winner. “You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be ‘Your dad’s the best,’” she told Vogue. “Make sure you are your coparent’s biggest cheerleader, no matter what you’re personally going through.”
West continued to make headlines for his social media posts — toward the Kardashian family and other A-listers — before his divorce with the KKW Beauty founder was settled later that year.
Meanwhile, Khloé Kardashian shocked her fans when news broke that she was expecting a second child with Tristan Thompson.
“We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November [2021],” a rep for the Good American cofounder told Us Weekly in a July statement. “Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing. We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family.”
A source clarified, however, that the news didn’t mean Khloe and Thompson rekindled their on-and-off romance. “Khloé and Tristan are coparenting, but not speaking [outside] of coparenting, that is the only communication they have anymore,” an insider exclusively told Us at the time, noting that the baby was conceived ahead of Thompson’s paternity scandal with Maralee Nichols which resulted in son Theo’s birth in December 2021. “Tristan has realized that he’s a parental figure to True and the new baby [and] that’s all he is to Khloé right now.”
That same month, the Strong Looks Better Naked author welcomed a son via surrogate. Her growing family was explored during The Kardashians‘ season 2 premiere.
“Every single day, I’ve been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy. It’s almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me,” Khloé said in a September episode. “Now I finally get to start the healing process. Now I get to start enjoying my life with two kids in it and figuring this out. This is gonna be day one, and this is gonna be the start of something positive, and happy and beautiful.”

Kylie Welcomes Her 2nd Child
In February, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott expanded their family with a baby boy. One month after her son’s arrival, the beauty mogul confirmed that she changed her child’s name after originally calling him Wolf. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,” she wrote via Instagram Story at the time.
During the season 2 finale of The Kardashians, which aired in November, Kylie hinted that her second kid’s name has still legally remained Wolf. “My baby’s name is still Wolf. I will let you guys know when I change it. Maybe I will tell you guys in season 3,” she shared.

The Family’s Return to Reality TV
Following a 20-season run on E!, the famous family debuted their Hulu series in April. The show, which was greenlit for 40 episodes so far, explores Kris Jenner, Kim, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé, Kendall Jenner and Kylie’s personal and professional lives.
In the first two seasons, viewers have also caught glimpses of Scott Disick, West, Pete Davidson and more celebrities.

Kardashian-Jenner’s Legal Battle With Blac Chyna
Following her split from Rob Kardashian in 2017, Chyna took legal action against Kris, Kim, Khloé and Kylie. At the time, Chyna claimed the group was to blame for the cancelation of her reality show Rob & Chyna.
One month after the trial kicked off in April, the judge ruled in the Kardashians’ favor when the case was dismissed.
“On behalf of Kris, Kim, Khloé and Kylie, we want to express our appreciation to the jury. We are also grateful for the steady hand of Judge Gregory Alarcon in making sure that this was a fair trial,” attorneys for the family, Michael Rhodes and Michelle Doolin, told Us in a statement in May. “The jury sent a clear message to Ms. White and her lawyer — I hope they are listening. Justice has prevailed.”

Kim Splits From Pete
After less than one year of dating, Us confirmed in August that Kim and Davidson had called it quits.
“There truly wasn’t drama between them when they decided to separate. It was something they talked through; it wasn’t a sudden breakup,” a source shared with Us. “They each have busy schedules and the distance made it hard. Kim travels a ton and it was hard for Pete to keep up, especially with his filming schedule.”
The Bodies Bodies Bodies star was later linked to Emily Ratajkowski in November.

Kim and Kanye Finalize Their Divorce
The Skims founder, who filed for divorce in February 2021, officially reached a settlement with the rapper in November.
According to legal paperwork obtained by Us, Kim and West will receive joint custody with “equal access” to their four children. The documents also stated that the rapper will pay his ex-wife $200,000 a month for child support and is responsible for 50 percent of their kids’ educational and security expenses.
The duo also divided their property assets in accordance with their prenuptial agreement — which indicated their waiving of spousal support.

Kendall and Devin Call It Quits
An insider revealed to Us in November that Kendall and Devin Booker were over again after dating on and off for nearly three years. “Things are amicable after the breakup, there’s no bad blood between them,” the source explained, noting they pulled the plug on their relationship “a little over a month ago.”
