season
with
eight
teams
battling
for
the
title
over
the
years.
However,
in
the
nine
seasons
so
far
only
six
or
seven
teams
have
competed
in
a
single
tournament.

Season
1,
3
and
8
were
competed
by
six
teams,
while
seasons
2,
4,
5,
6,
7
and
9
saw
seven
teams
battle
for
the
coveted
title.

While
the
tournament
has
been
held
every
year
since
2012,
the
seasons
in
2014
(match-fixing),
2020
(COVID
pandemic)
and
2021
(COVID)
were
not
held
that
year.

Who
has
won
BPL
T20
most?

In
the
9
editions
of
the
Bangladesh
Premier
League
so
far,
Comilla
Victorians
has
been
the
most
successful
side
with
4
titles
to
it’s
name
followed
by
the
Dhaka
franchise,
who
have
won
the
title
three
times
under
two
different
names.

The
Dhaka
Gladiators
won
the
first
two
editions
in
2012
and
2013,
while
the
Dhaka
Dynamites
clinched
the
title
in
2016.
The
Dhaka
team
has
also
finished
runners
up
twice.
Rangpur
Riders
and
now
defunct
Rajshahi
Royals
have
won
the
BPL
T20
title
once
each.

Bangladesh’s
star
all-rounder
Shakib
Al
Hasan
has
won
the
Player
of
the
Tournament
most,
having
received
the
award
four
times
in
nine
seasons.
West
Indies
T20
Superstars
Chris
Gayle
and
Andre
Russell
have
also
won
the
Player
of
the
Tournament
awards
once.
