Three runs were needed off the last six balls with one wicket in hand when Meghna Singh and Jemimah Rodrigues ran a single on the first two balls of the 50th over to level the scores. However, on the third delivery Meghna ended up edging the ball into the hands of Bangladesh captain and wicket-keeper Nigar Sultana.

Rodrigues and Meghna looked displeased with the decision of the umpire. On the flip side, the hosts celebrated in an ecstatic fashion after managing to save themselves from the jaws of a series defeat.
India were marching forward without any problem whatsoever until the 33rd over of their run-chase. But a collapse triggered in the 42nd over after the departure of captain Harleen Deol (77 off 108). India were reduced from 191/4 in 41.1 overs to 217/9 in 47.4 overs.
Rodrigues, who walked in to bat at number six, held one end with an unbeaten 33 off 45 balls but got no support from others. As many as six India Women batters got out for single-digit scores. Smriti Mandhana was second-highest run-scorer for India with 59 runs off 85 balls.
Earlier in the match, Bangladesh Women won the toss and posted 225/4 in 50 overs. Opener Shamima Sultana scored 52 off 78, while her partner Fargana Hoque (107 off 160) slammed a hundred. Sneh Rana picked two wickets for India.
India Women had won the second ODI by 108 runs. Bangladesh won the first match by 40 runs (DLS method).
