Banish limescale from shower screens without ‘scrubbing’

Leanne Weekes suggested: “It’s limescale so try Viakal. If Viakal doesn’t shift it, then it’s etched onto the glass and nothing will work I’m afraid, not even a glass scraper. But definitely worth a try with both.”

Eden Roberts wrote: “Get a squeegee and some Viakal, that’ll have it off easily. Then wipe with a squeegee after every shower.”

Alex Bromley said: “Vikal literally removes everything! No scrubbing even needed!” Joan Craib agreed and posted: “We use Viakal – it’s amazing.”

Viakal Bathroom Limescale Remover is available to buy from Tesco, Wilko and Waitrose for £2.50. Viakal Classic Limescale Remover Cleaning Spray is also available from Ocado for £3.50 and Sainsbury’s for £3.

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans included using washing-up liquid, white vinegar, dishwasher cleaner, Kilrock spray, Black Harpic, baking soda and lemon juice.

Nicola Jones said: “Fairy liquid and white vinegar 50/50 in a spray bottle. Spray onto the glass with half of the lemon and then rub it all in. Leave for 30 minutes. Rinse and squeegee off buff dry.”
