Richard Branson’s New Passion Project Hotel Opens In Spain

“We’ll never make much money out of these projects,” Richard Branson says of his extensive hotel and villa collection, “They are expressions of love.” But that hasn’t stopped the billionaire founder of the Virgin empire from opening new properties. Branson’s latest passion project is 25 years in the making. The Sun Bunyola, on the Spanish island of Mallorca, is a 26-room property housed in a 16th century finca with three villas across a 1,300-acre estate framed by the Tramuntana mountains and the sea. A vast terrace has panoramic views of Sun Bunyola, and for those who like to be active on vacation, there is also 28-meter pool, hiking trails and cycle paths.
