Even though Euphoria‘s head makeup artist, Doniella Davy, warned us back in July of 2021 that the show’s second season would not be filled with as many bold and experimental makeup looks as the first, Barbie Ferreira’s Instagram post ahead of the second season’s premiere is proof that vivid makeup looks will still abound — phew!
Ferreira’s 10-part Instagram carousel posted to her grid on January 9 opens with a vividly layered eye shadow look consisting of a teal-colored base topped with a shade of neon green. It looks very similar to the neon eye shadow look that singer Dua Lipa wore on the Versace runway for Milan’s Spring/Summer 2022 Fashion Week, except the color order is reversed.
In the third photo, Ferreira gives us a look at one of the many winged eyeliner looks that Davy promised would make an appearance this season. Meanwhile, the fourth photo shows Ferreira up and awake bright and early (for what we can only assume is ahead of a long day shooting for Euphoria, of course) wearing some sparkly green eye shadow on her lids.
Ferreira’s seventh photo of her 10-part carousel gives a peek into what Davy would probably call “a softer version of twinkling Euphoria glam” consisting of a soft wash of blue eye shadow and a cherry-colored red lip.
