Vitor
Roque,
Martin
Zubimendi,
Juan
Foyth
and
Inigo
Martinez
are
all
on
Xavi
Hernandez’s
shortlist
ahead
of
the
summer
transfer
window.
Barcelona
signed
Robert
Lewandowski
in
the
summer,
but
do
not
have
a
natural
backup
for
the
Polish
superstar
up
front
with
Ferran
Torres
the
only
other
option
to
call
upon.
The
18-year-old
Brazilian
wonderkid
Vitor
Roque,
who
plies
his
trade
for
Atletico
Paranaense,
tops
the
Blaugrana’s
shortlist
and
is
being
viewed
as
the
long-term
replacement
of
the
Poland
international
up
front.
Roque
can
play
anywhere
across
the
final
third,
including
in
the
wings
and
therefore
regarded
as
a
potentially
fantastic
addition.
Zubimendi
is
believed
to
be
viewed
as
the
long-term
successor
of
legendary
defensive
midfielder
Sergio
Busquets
with
the
Spanish
great
at
the
dusk
of
his
career.
The
Barcelona
legend
is
in
the
final
few
months
of
his
contract
and
even
if
he
signs
an
extension,
Zubimendi
could
be
a
worthwhile
addition.
Barcelona
are
also
reportedly
interested
in
Foyth
and
Martinez.
Foyth
was
also
in
the
club’s
wish-list
last
summer,
but
a
move
for
the
versatile
Villareal
defender
didn’t
materialise
with
the
Yellow
Submarine’s
asking
price
deemed
too
high.
Inigo
Martinez,
meanwhile,
is
a
proven
La
Liga
star.
While
he’s
on
the
wrong
side
of
30s,
his
experience
could
be
a
good
addition
to
the
Blaugrana
especially
due
to
the
fact
that
he
is
set
to
be
available
on
a
free
transfer.
Barcelona
are
also
interested
in
Manchester
City
defender
Aymeric
Laporte,
who
previously
played
for
Athletic
Bilbao
in
La
Liga.
Barcelona
have
had
a
mixed
season
so
far
as
they
have
been
knocked
out
of
both
the
UEFA
Champions
League
and
then
the
UEFA
Europa
League.
Xavi’s
side
have,
however,
been
a
lot
better
in
La
Liga
and
are
leading
the
table
by
nine
points.
