Auctioneer Mark Stacey was inundated with messages of support after he took to Twitter and revealed he had recently been hospitalised.
The Bargain Hunt expert, 58, thanked the NHS as he explained he had to undergo surgery to have a bowel cancer tumour removed.
The Flog It! star shared a photo of himself in hospital while sitting propped up on a chair and looked to be in good spirits following the procedure.
In view of his 19,000 followers on May 20, Mark penned: “Thanks to Lincoln Country Hospital, had a bowel cancer tumour removed to robotics on Thursday, this pic on Friday morning.
“Our NHS is amazing, we must protect it.”

The Welsh-born auctioneer was inundated with messages of support following the news.
Phil tweeted: “Best wishes to you Mark. Hope you make a full and speedy recovery.”
Fiona Scott commented: “Mark, I agree and hope you continue to make a strong recovery. Much love.”
John wrote: “I wish you a speedy recovery. I hope the road ahead is a good one for you and yes the NHS needs protecting for sure.”
Ed remarked: “Speedy recovery Mark, they are amazing I had similar surgery (not robotics) 11 years ago, still going strong.”
Alan added: “Couldn’t agree more. You’re looking good, praying for a speedy recovery.”
Mark is best known for starring on various antique shows such as Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip.
The antiques dealer often travels across the UK and Europe in search of hidden gems.
Mark has always been a collector and as a child, he would collect stamps and coins.
His hobby turned into a way of life and he said he could not imagine himself doing anything else.
He joined the Bargain Hunt team in 2002 and over the years he has met contestants from all walks of life.
The valuer and auctioneer is British and he was born in Neath in Glamorgan, South Wales.
Bargain Hunt is available to watch on weekdays at 12.15pm on BBC One.
