Following his debut with the Suns this week, Kevin Durant called out his critics.
“I don’t need no credit from y’all, no credit from (Charles Barkley), no credit from Shaq. Y’all don’t ever have to watch me play ever again,” Durant said. “Don’t talk about me if you don’t (rock) with me. I’m not gonna stop doing what I do. Everybody has their opinions, man.”
During this past Thursday’s episode of Speak on FS1, basketball analyst Ric Bucher responded to Durant’s comments
Oddly enough, Bucher believes Durant needs to get married so he can learn about what’s important in life and what he should just let go.
“Kevin Durant needs to get married,” Bucher said. “Kevin Durant needs a relationship that teaches him what you have to respond to and what you just let go. And that, for me, is what marriage taught me – what’s really important.”
As you’d expect, the basketball world believes this is a very weird take from Bucher.
“This something a troll account should be saying not an actual analysis,” one fan said.
Another fan tweeted, “This has nothing to do with basketball and all to do with people’s personal lives… this is the lowest of the low.”
Durant probably shouldn’t entertain half the criticism he receives from the public, but this take from Bucher seems too personal.
We’ll see Durant back in action tonight against the Bulls.
