Aragon GP
The Italian achieved victory in Alcañiz after overtaking Bagnaia on the last lap in a brilliant finish
The Italian Enea Bastianini managed to prevail in a brilliant end of the race with Bagnaia, who had been leading the race. The Gresini Racing rider gave the surprise by getting his fourth victory of the season, beating his teammate next year at Ducati. Turin could not get the win, but tightens the fight for the championship.
It was not the day of Fabio Quartararo, leader of the queen category, who left after a contact with Marc Márquez, who was returning to the race after his last injury, and who was transferred to a medical center due to a burn. The one in Cervera, one of the main focuses in this Grand Prix of Aragon, did not finish either.
The podium was completed by Aleix Espargaró, the best of the Spaniards in Alcañiz, getting on the box for the sixth time this season. The Aprilia rider maintains his candidacy for the title and is only 17 points behind Fabio Quartararo, tightening the three-way fight with five races to go so that MotoGP, which now moves to the Asian continent, says goodbye for a year plus.
