On Monday’s BBC Breakfast, Dan Walker and Sally Nugent were back to present the latest news headlines. Throughout the show, they discussed a range of topics and spoke with a number of guests including Health Secretary Sajid Javid. The duo spoke with the MP about Boris Johnson’s latest coronavirus measures, which he announced in a speech on Sunday night.
However, some viewers were left unimpressed by the interview, with many accusing Walker and Nugent of giving the MP an “easy ride”.
Simon raged: “Two sports journalists giving Javid a nice cosy interview on @BBCBreakfast this morning.
“Genuinely, what is the point of bothering? The ‘interview’ was just the normal Tory party political broadcast…….shameful from @BBCBreakfast.” (sic)
Aaron tweeted: “Watching @mrdanwalker on @BBCBreakfast interview the Health Secretary. Javid is another unable to answer a direct question. More slippery than a bucket of greased eels.” (sic)
