Owain Wyn Evans took on a 24-hour BBC Children In Need drumming challenge in a bid to raise money for the children’s charity. He accepted the challenge to drum constantly for 24 hours and was joined by musicians from around the UK. As the drumathon came to an end on Saturday morning, Owain broke down in tears as his 24 hours ended and praised everyone who supported his challenge and to the public who had donated money.
Drumming to his last song, Britney Spears “Baby One More Time” Owain’s last minute was an emotional one for everyone watching.
Being joined by Jane McCubbin as his challenge came to an end, Owain broke down in tears and said: “Oh my gosh, I just can’t believe that we’ve done it.
“It’s just felt like, it’s just felt like a really long time, and it’s been really hard, but the generosity of people has just been incredible.
“The reason we have done this is to raise money for Children In Need and it’s been a relief, you know we film things together on this you know.
“I’ve just seen Zoe there crying and I…” Owain said emotionally as they panned the camera around to the Children In Need team.
