MUMBAI: The keenly-anticipated elections and Annual General Meeting of the BCCI are “most likely” to be held here on October 18, according to sources.
“There’s no official intimation as yet, but the top bosses of the BCCI have informed the state associations officials about the Board elections and AGM on October 18 in Mumbai,” a source told TOI.
Post the Supreme Court order on September 14, which provided relief in the cooling off clause, it has been speculated that current secretary Jay Shah might become the new president, with current president Sourav Ganguly throwing his hat in the ring for the ICC chairman’s post.
Interestingly, the elections of the Indian Cricketers’ Association too could be held on the same day.
