The BeachLife Festival returns to Redondo Beach’s Seaside Lagoon May 13-15 with headliners Weezer, the Smashing Pumpkins and the Steve Miller Band, festival organizers announced Monday, Jan. 10.
Other artists on the lineup for the third installment of the festival include 311, Vance Joy, Sheryl Crow, Cold War Kids, Black Pumas, Stone Temple Pilots, Capital Cities and Long Beach Dub Allstars. Nearly 50 acts have been announced for the festival’s four stages so far.
Returning in 2022 is the SpeakEasy stage, which debuted last year and features acoustic performances by punk artists curated by Pennywise’s Jim Lindberg, and the Daou SideStage Experience, where concert goers can eat a four-course menu on the side of the festival’s main stage.
Founded by local entrepreneur Allen Sanford and business partner Rob Lissner — who also own The Venice West — BeachLife made its debut in May 2019 with Willie Nelson, Brian Wilson and more. Like other events, the 2020 edition was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But after being rescheduled from May to September due to the pandemic, the 2021 festival returned with a lineup of nearly 50 acts led by artists such as Jane’s Addiction, Cage the Elephant, Counting Crows and Ziggy Marley and Stephen Marley performing the songs of their late father Bob Marley.
Single-day general admission passes for the 2022 festival are $159; single-day GA+ passes are $189 and include unlimited ins and outs from the festival grounds; single-day VIP passes are $349 and include a VIP entrance and VIP areas. The single-day Captains Pass is $1,250 and includes artist meet and greets, reserved parking, lounge areas and two tickets to the festival’s launch party.
Three-day general passes start at $419 with GA + at $449 and VIP is $899 plus fees and the three day Captains Pass is $2,999.
For the sailors, the three-day Admirals Pass levels vary but start at $995 per boat. It includes boat mooring plus two general admission tickets. Weekend Admiral passes go all the way up to $15,000 per boat, which includes four Captains tickets. And yes, you’ll have to provide your own boat.
Ticket prices do not include fees.
