Singer-songwriter Beck and French electro-pop band Phoenix have announced that they’re joining forces for a co-headlining summer tour that launches Aug. 1 in Seattle, Wash. and makes its way down to Southern California with stops at Kia Forum in Inglewood Aug. 7 and Viejas Arena in San Diego on Aug. 8.

The Inglewood show will feature support from Jenny Lewis and Sir Chloe and the San Diego date will include Japanese Breakfast and Sir Chloe.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27 at Ticketmaster.com.

Last year, 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee and eight-time Grammy-winner, Beck, opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers alongside Thundercat at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Phoenix, too, just delivered a fiery set at ALT 98.7-FM’s annual ALTer Ego radio fest at Kia Forum in Inglewood on Jan. 14 and impressed the crowd with songs like “Alpha Zulu,” “Loser” and “1901.”

Phoenix recorded and self-produced its seventh studio album, “Alpha Zulu,” during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns and released the album on Nov. 4 of last year. So far the album has produced several singles including the title track, “Tonight,” “Winter Solstice” and “Identical.”

Beck’s last studio album, “Hyperspace,” was released in 2019. However, he has been collaborating with other artists including tour opener Jenny Lewis on the song “Do Si Do” from her “On the Line” album, as well as working with Cage the Elephant, Gorillaz and Sir Paul McCartney.
